The response from people who watched our story has been very affirming for me... I have received TONS of heartwarming, supportive messages from friends and strangers alike. The comments that have appeared here on my page - on A Haunting FB page - and on Destination Americas FB page have been amazing. Sure, we got to tell a scary story - but people also very strongly resonated with the ending message of empowerment, and overcoming darkness. The paranormal community is very smart... and after ten years of watching shows that promote gadgetry, and immature, overdramatic investigators.... we are now hoping for the next level of programming. TV has chosen instead to insult their intelligence with playboy bunnies, hillbillies who can barely spell the word ghost, and scripted shows like mountain monsters. My prayer is that the TV networks see some of the heartfelt comments that you all have gifted to us.... and come to the realization that rather than dumbing down paranormal related shows... how bout we raise the bar a level or two, as A Haunting has. Shell show you how to create quality programming that doesnt belittle the investigators who study this, or the people who have lived through it. : )
