The response to #TheInterview pull from politicians and people in the entertainment industry is stellar and much of it is spot on. The best has to be Arsenio Halls note that he bought a bootleg copy of the film in front of (the awesomely tasty) Roscoes Chicken and Waffles. A horrible day yesterday for creative expression. I see some who go the other way and state that maybe there shouldnt be a comedy about killing North Koreas resident tree stump... but you know what? Screw that noise. North Korea has put out propaganda of animated cartoons showing them blowing up our entire country, not to mention a variety of acts of terror, including assassinations... as well as constant threats toward the United States and the rest of the world. Not like this film wasnt going after a figure that hasnt done anything. Also not a first. A lot of people are bringing up Team America... Ill also note the South Park movie and even vintage Captain America books with him flat out kicking Hitlers ass on the cover. I fear what this shows is that threats can be made against art and freedom of expression and those making the threats can get what they want. Man...
