The rest of the afternoon was a lazy one and after we had all watched a great sunset me and the neighbours headed off to a nearby resort for dinner. It didnt start well for Annette because when returning from the loo a snake crawled over her feet. The setting was lovely, landscaped gardens with great views over the ocean, but sadly once again the service was shambolic. Eventually our meals arrived one by one at ten minute intervals. My choice was a chicken dish with a special homemade sauce and home cut chips. What i received was three dry pieces of chicken in breadcrumbs, a slice of tomato, cucumber, a bowl of vinegar and fries the size of doorstops cooked for about five minutes. Nevertheless i was so hungry i polished it off, we settled the bill and returned home. When I got back the place was dead so i hit the sack. I slept soundly but now of course i am awake to witness the sound of screaming pigs. The roosters and the feral dogs are joining in of course so normal 4am life continues as usual. I have four long days left on Siquijor before the hustle and bustle of dumagette so i thought today i would stay local and test out the hammock, walk the beach and drown myself in brewed coffee. I have lent my bike to Glen, Im sure all will be fine! The only thing left for me to do here is to find a healer as I am intrigued about their work and beliefs. Their services are not publicly advertised so i will listen to local knowledge and advice in order to pay them a visit.
