The result of Pakistans top Competitive exam (CSS-2013) personifies the deterioration of education system , which can provide a degree, but not the knowledge . Only 238 students cleared the written portion of the exam , while 16000 graduate/ post graduate or above , applied for the exam. The Students seek short-cuts to get through the exams, while CSS exam need a thorough and comprehensive studies , which develop their research acumen. The thirst for book-reading is diminishing- Students are not accustomed to make notes by own after consulting variety of books and having different confronting views and ideas... The 2.09% result shows the complete disaster of the educational infrastructure. The absence of considerable literacy rate, invites multiple social and economic issues. While the top brains who are supposed to make the policies of the government and to run its affairs, are, either going to extinct or leave the country. Among 238 students , how many will satisfy their interviewers?? It will be another painful orchestration!!!
