Since media acts as a watchdog, its hard sometimes to police the industries behavior, although agregious violations have resulted in firing tanking of a business and even a forced restructuring of gawker media most recently. So how do you know when a reporter is lying? Well typically theres someone else in the conversation with a more solid argument. They dont just have speculations based on mud, they have evidence based on investigation, but sadly these often result in the public not at all knowing what to believe and disregarding everything. But time heals all wounds, and every bureied truth gets fresh air eventually, especially now in the Information Age and thats when credibility gets lost by outlets. Your already starting to see this with abcs last nightline piece with 97% disapproval currently. It also didnt help that the youtube section was showing not just abc was deleting comments with no swearing no vulgarity and nothing breaking tos and rather a counter argument thats been noted as re-uploaded because it was previously deleted. Meanwhile on Twitter two abc staffers were making jokes about the subject being dumb yall. Yeah there dumb. guy at abc using Twitter to emphasize a bias at a company that uses spj. Even after being challenged by Barbara Walters did they apologize? Nope they took to gameinformer to call Barbara Walters an enemy of women and a traitor. Lol guys really. So Id say the rule stands. Any station that refuses to retract a blatent lie like gamergate only wants to harass women has 0 credibility. Congratulations @abc the numbers have actually been counted and you actually won the most hated video on YouTube. If this guy doesnt at least get fired for this poor excuse (and late) of journalism, then I dont think this will be anything for the american broadcast company to enjoy.
