The reviews of JahFreedom Inn, Negril just keep getting better and better!! Pamela from Ft . Myers: A Single Woman in Negril...My Experience I chose Jah Freedom Inn after a talk with the host, Steve Weinstein. He told me that his goal was for me to have the best vacation ever. His sincerity and heart impressed me that since I was traveling alone, I would have a good contact in Jamaica for advice on where to go, what to see, and if there were any areas to avoid as well. He gave me the information on the best priced shuttle bus from the airport and their website to make a reservation. It was all easily set up from my home before I ever left the country. When I arrived at Jah Freedom, I was greeted by Steve and the queen, a beautiful little cocker weiner dog named Kaya, who I soon learned ruled the Negril Beach with her sweet energy. Everyone knows Kaya and her friend Steve, lol. Jah Freedom is a lovely guesthouse. It is immaculately clean, with large, airy bedrooms, a beautiful veranda across the front with a breezy Caribbean Ocean view. It is a perfect blend between the warm, sunny, active beach and the shaded hillside tranquility. Steve put me on the back and Miss Kaya on the front of his motorcycle, and we walked the beach. He made me aware of the section of the beach where I would be less hassled by hustlers, and even gave me my first snorkeling lesson. Snorkeling in Negril became a true love of mine. The water is so clear, and the coral reefs of fish and waving coral are magical. During my 11 day stay at Jah Freedom, I enjoyed some of the best coffee ever, the Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, made by Steve each morning. And had some delicious fruit smoothies as well. Steve has many fruit trees right in the yard. His housekeeper, Bobbs, kept my room immaculate each day, and although I always felt safe at Jah Freedom Inn, Steve had a night security man outside every night. I enjoyed many great conversations with Steve, and he helped plan trips to many places around Negril and even a longer trip to Ys Falls, a few hours away…complete with where to stop for a great bakery! I really got a wonderful taste of the culture of Jamaica, which I feel I would not have gotten without guidance on where to find more than a tourist experience. I had a wonderful vacation, and definitely plan on returning to Jamaica, and plan on staying at my new home away from home, the Jah Freedom Inn. I highly recommend this Inn for visitors who want a real Jamaican experience. Thanks so much Pam!
