The ribbon cutting for the Aquatic Center was today. The guests of honor were the parents of Kim Peyton and the many swim team alumni who lined up to take their photo in front of her mural. Mrs. Peyton also brought Kims gold medal from Montreal. They keep it sealed in plastic but it weighed as much as Id expect a gold medal to weigh. There was also the school historian who brought photos of the van that drove through the front windows of the old pool and landed in the deep end.
