The right wingers kill me. Chris Christie is more of a conservative than either of the Bushes, as much or more than Reagan. He is also pragmatic and IS the governor of a generally liberal state. Certainly genuinely more conservative than Mitt Romney. He is the only Republican who polls about 50%. Lets put it this way, he is as conservative as you are going to get and still be electable. BUT! Oh, yes, the conservatives are grumbling. The same said people who want Hannity to be the moderator of the Republican debates. The folks who control the right wing media make so much money out of courting anti-intellectual fools and the just plain ignorant they will never ever let an intelligent and pragmatic leader run the Republican Party. John E. Sununu, a Congressman with impeccable conservative credentials had the highest IQ in all of Congress. His district decided to elect someone dumb like them. George Will and Thomas Sewell are the last two remaining intellectuals on the right. And they are both old!
