The roof of a building at Diboll Correctional Center has collapsed in Diboll, Texas, according to the facilitys warden. The building, used for housing, is located at 1604 South First Street. The private correctional centers warden says 84 offenders were in the area when the collapse happened and were temporarily trapped. Ten people were taken to the hospital for injuries, while others are being treated at the facility. Authorities say theyve been moved to the jails gym. None of the injuries are life threatening. Officials are at the jail assessing damage to the roof and trying to figure out how it happened. Texas Department of Criminal Justice is sending a team to assess the situation.
