The rumors are true! Beginning on this Tuesday morning, the roller hockey rink located directly in front of the Bandshell will be dismantled, to be rebuilt and relocated nearby later in the spring. The bulk of the work will be performed by the county’s prison work crews (thanks to President Judge Creany). The new rink will be bigger, and NHL regulation size, but off to the side to allow more seating in front of the Bandshell. Just like the renovations to the Bandshell, it is intended that this latest project will not cost city taxpayers a cent.
