The sacrament of confirmation is one of the momentous decisions we make as Catholics. With that in mind, we wish all of you making your confirmation, and your families, a wonderful weekend. As our lovely Fr Beltrame always said to us Make Beautiful Memories We wish to respect your needs and keep any form of protests away from these ceremonies. As you are aware, numerous appeals have been made to the Bishop, asking him to listen to the members of his church and to maybe clarify his decision to relocate Fr Neru. Regardless of what the Bishop says about this being a decision made by a committee, he and he alone makes the final decision. We are being treated by our Church in the same manner as they have treated the poor souls that tried to communicate all their grief about child abuse. Protect the Religious and close all channels of communication with Parishioners down. With this in mind, and not willing to be shut down, we have thought long and hard of another way of making a protest, that wouldnt interfere with the confirmations. What we have come up with is this. As a form of protest, those of you attending confirmations and Mass this weekend. Please do NOT put any money in the COLLECTION PLATES. If you so choose, you can put a small note of protest in the plate instead or just pass it along. This will indicate to our Bishop, what sort of income he will be looking at each week , after he takes Fr Neru from our Parish. This request will be in the Area News today and Brendan Catanzariti will be announcing it at our gathering tonight. We hope and pray that as many of you that can make it will come along to support us. If you are unable to come, could you pass our request around to as many people as you can. There are a lot of people not on Facebook that we would like to hear about this. Once again, thank you all for your testaments about Father Neru and letting everyone know just what a unique and special Christian we are blessed to have in our Church.
