The safe arrival at a California sanctuary of the three elderly elephants held for decades in a Toronto zoo, driven half made by isolation and lack of space, afflicted by the cold winters and sleeping on concrete. All to amuse children who can easily see all the elephants they want on TV. A huge salute to the saintly Bob Barker who financed this epic voyage. A the deepest disgrace on the bureaucrats and unions at Toronto Zoo who fought so long to keep these gentle creatures prisoners. Let the suffering of these three elephants serve as a symbol and rallying call to close all zoos unless their sole role is protecting endangered species. Zoos and circuses are vile, cruel and inhumane.
