The sandbox is coming down as I type. An era of our lives that I wish wasnt at an end. I guess life must go on. Change is a part of life. Some didnt understand when my mother had a hard time parting with her things and couldnt all of them. Well, I understand. Its a lifetime of memories. My memories of playing in there with my children - all those toys we bought to play with - the large trucks and tractors. The castles we built; the moats filled with water. Then there was the fort on top. We could first watch from there all the way to Silknitter as we were the only street. Then we watched neighbors. :-) Then watched as the tornado hit Towne East. Storms. Our first storm chasing took place up there. Then the cats started laying up there watching the neighborhood and the squirrels. Lately the squirrels have been laying up there watching the cat. Plants Ive had for years - the old Rose-of-Sharon that has stood 30 years, the Phlox that started out as a small plant and has spread all over the yard. . . . but no more. And what song should come on while Im writing this but, Baby, mine. Dont you cry. Dry your eyes. Rest your head close to my heart. Never to part. Howd it know . . .
