"The scale of the defence underspend in Scotland is over £7 billion pounds in just ten years." Scotland is fortunate to have few enemies close to our borders, but for those of you who are concerned about defence, hopefully this piece from MSP Colin Beattie will put your mind at rest. Independence means that the underspend in Scotland comes to an end. We can have a defence force equiped and focused upon keeping us and our allies safe. The Republic of Ireland, Denmark and Norway find plenty of volunteers from their populations willing to join up, and we would be the same. Vote Yes in 2014 for a safer and more peaceful Scotland.
