The school board may be at a serious crossroads and we deeply hope the three school board members recently elected and re-elected understand how vital the safety of our children is in the decisions they are going to have to make. Whether it leads us to deep cuts in the operational budget in administration or the classroom, or to increased debt, we cannot stress enough how much our childrens lives are worth and the extent that we, as a community must sacrifice to protect them. We have been very fortunate to date that this policy has not killed anyone, but that luck could end any day now, and we must stand firm in our collective resolve for a solution. The days that come will not be easy for anyone, but the mission is clear. Prevent our babies from dying, at any cost.
