The search for Havoc continues. heres comments from his owner: I am writing to you on this Thanksgiving weekend in the hopes that you will help me to do what everyone cherishes at this time of year - to reunite with family and friends. My dogs Raze and Havoc are my babies, and anyone whos ever loved a pet will know, they are as much a part of my family as the people in it. My sweet boy Havoc has been missing for almost a month. He disappeared on November 9th from the Little Falls Trail on the border of NW DC and Bethesda. I have undertaken a massive effort to find him, fueled by an amazing grassroots group of total strangers that care and want to see my poor baby find his way home again. It’s been a grueling journey. I just moved to this area and know no one. I spend 12-16 hours a day on the search for Havoc. What I’ve discovered along this agonizing process is that this community is fueled by unparalled kindness and love. I’ve also discovered that despite all our modern technology, there is not a central place to log missing and found pets. I’ve discovered that there is a lack of coordination and communication amongst rescue groups. I’ve discovered there are many resources to help you find missing pets, but they are often financially not feasible for middle and lower income families. I’ve discovered how powerful social media is, and how I’ve been able to reach so many people who understand and emphasize with how deep love runs for our pets (https://facebook/BringHavocHome) My biggest hope at this point is that someone has picked him up and does not realize he is desperately missed. If you take on Havoc’s story, his chances of being found or discovered will increase dramatically. Here are some ‘by the numbers’ for Havoc’s story: 1 pet detective has been hired 3 pet trackers (dogs that find other dogs) have been hired 9 feeding stations have been created 12 rescues have been visited 44 rescues and shelters have been contacted 50+ vets have been notified 77 complete strangers have reached out to me to see if they can help - this is my team and words cannot express how grateful I am 3000 flyers have been posted across several square miles in NW DC and Bethesda 20,000 automated phone calls have been sent out to homes in this area
