The search is over.... I have finally decided that Im going to get a Takamine Pro Series, and Im going to buy it from Pecknel Music. I have spent the last few weeks trying out and researching various mid-range guitars from just about every manufacturer including Taylor, Martin, Gibson, Breedlove, Seagull, etc, etc, etc..... I think I was just eliminating the ones I didnt want for sure. It came down to a couple that I really liked, with the Taylor 314CE standing out as the best of the bunch. I just didnt dig the Expression system because of the way I play, and I didnt want to get the NON-factory acoustic and add another 200 on it for a better pickup. Richard Young Jr. and Bennie Waddell told me to go to Pecknel and check them out. Im very sad to say that I had not thought of Pecknel myself, and that I didnt even know they were a Takamine dealer..... Went there today, and played around with the dreadnought Pro 3 series and loved the neck. It is EXACTLY what I want to feel in my hands. So, after taking up way too much of Jeff Walls time, I made up my mind to purchase a new Takamine. Now to convince Pamela McAbee Hoyt of the necessity to buy this axe. 8-)
