The season got off to a good start today on the Housatonic River. It was a cold and rainy day but there was only a moderate current. Ben Wright, class of 1980, brought his Lawrenceville team to Kent to kick off the spring season. The results of the boys races were as follows; B2 Lawrenceville 5:02, Kent 5:07 B1 Kent 4:51, Lawrenceville 5:02. We then did a short practice together to get more water time. After we put the shells away the two teams enjoyed a great buffet provided by the parents. The girls also had a successful start to their spring season by winning both the G2 and the G1 races against the girls of Lawrenceville. As a side note our third girls also raced in the same event with the G2 crews and came in second place to our G2 boat, but beat the G2 boat from Lawrenceville. I am sorry that I do not have the times for the girls races.
