The season of Thanksgiving and Christmas have been difficult this - TopicsExpress

The season of Thanksgiving and Christmas have been difficult this year not having either parent- totally different than past yrs of going home for the holidays. Also, dealing w the estate auctions feels like were just giving away all I had left of them. Only things ppl say, but its things that remind me of life/memories w them. Put all this together w the empty nest of Neil not here and the grieving has been all over the place these past cpl mths., especially during the holidays. I defin. understand the grieving process as I learned all about in nursing sch and have lived in its various stages the past 4 yrs. My thoughts and prayers r with all my other FB friends who are also feeling the loneliness, sadness, and grief of lost loved ones especially during this holiday season. Time can heal some wounds, but never let anyone tell u that u should be over it. Everyone grieves differently and in different timeframes. My desire for us all as the New Year arrives is that God will fill our lives w joy and happiness that slowly replaces the anger, depression, denial and other painful aspects of the grieving process- precious memories overtaking the painful ones. HAPPY 2015 TO YOU ALL and may our PRECIOUS MEMORIES live on forever in our hearts... _____________ Grief... “The five stages - denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance - are a part of the framework that makes up our learning to live with the one we lost. They are tools to help us frame and identify what we may be feeling. But they are not stops on some linear timeline in grief.” ― Elisabeth Kubler-Ross ______________
