The second community project proposal is a mentorship one, “Sohatu General School – pilot project”, that aims to improve the life outcomes of disadvantaged students from broader Bucharest area by creating a space for them to interact with young corporate professionals as mentors and role models. Groups of young corporate professionals commit monthly sessions in which they: • visit disadvantaged schools in the Bucharest area, • learn about the challenging reality faced by students in these schools, • deliver sessions on values and mindsets necessary for success in life, • share information about their jobs and careers, and • develop mentoring relationships for mutual benefit. Monthly mentoring sessions for Sohatu’s 8th grade will take place from January to May 2015.
