The second person I am thankful for today is my Grandma. I had the pleasure of sharing our home with her as long as I could remember until just before I turned 16 when she passed away. She was everything kind, wonderful and soft to me. She was quiet and tender, and loved everyone around her. She never had a bad word to say about anyone. She was chock ful of grace and mercy. She was everything I can imagine that makes a grandma a great blessing. She was a little chubby, pretty wrinkly, and never wore her teeth! But, you know what? She was as beautiful as an angel to me. The older I get the more I look like her physically, and I hope that someday I will scratch the surface of reflecting her amazing character qualities. She loved Jesus with a quiet certainty. I miss her so often. I wish my children had the blessing of knowing her, and that she had been able to know them. But, one day, if they all profess Christ and follow Him, we will all have a great reunion where we will never be parted again. Yes, I am so thankful for her.
