The second presentation of the 2015 Royal Tyrrell Museum Speaker Series has been posted. Dr. Jon Noad from Husky Energy discusses the 2013 southern Alberta flood, the costliest disaster in Canadian history (costlier than Hurricane Katrina if you can believe it!). In his presentation, Jon discusses what were the causes of the flood, what impact it had on the cities of Canmore and Calgary, and what are the odds that such a disaster could re-occur in the years to come. A very interesting talk, even for those who werent in Alberta when it happened.
