The second round of the UAE Premiership on Friday will go a long - TopicsExpress

The second round of the UAE Premiership on Friday will go a long way to determining the four UAE clubs to get into the Top 6 tournament. The Premiership final is on the 8th of November, meaning clubs play each other only once. Historically the Harlequins, Dragons and Hurricanes would be expected to qualify. Which would indicate that there are three clubs competing for a final spot. However Harlequins lost on the weekend and have ground to make up in this very short league and Dubai Exiles win and recent off pitch developments, will make the confident of further victories. Saracens play the Exiles at home and will see that as a chance to gain a confidence building victory. Wasps face a tough away game to Harlequins, who will want to overcome their loss to Dragons in front of their home crowd, while the Hurricanes will host Dragons at the sevens. After this weekend, some teams will be playing must win rugby for a Top 6 spot. This is great pressure rugby and all 6 teams this season have declared a real desire to make the cut, there may well be some twists and turns before the end.
