The security lights surrounding the barn illuminating a thick layer of fog drifting in from the south, sitting here quietly atop my doghouse taking in the simple beauty surrounding me in the early morning darkness. With each passing moment the thick fog drifting slowly across the parking area toward my house soon to be filling the air around me, sitting here atop my doghouse, my heart quietly preoccupied on a soul-searching expedition deep within itself. A very special & inspirational friend in my life is undergoing open heart surgery this morning, I find my heart visiting memories of people in my life who also touched my heart & soul in profound & beautiful ways, who are no longer a part of my life today, people come & go from our life for various reasons, some choose to no longer be a part of our daily life remaining on the superficial outskirts, some choose to walk away without further contact & some have no choice as God calls them...I find myself with immense Love & gratitude mixed with twinges of sadness missing a few of these beautiful, special & inspirational people who were once so close to me & today are no longer available to chat with, hug or enjoy a special moment with... Smithy suddenly leaps from his spot sitting next to me atop the doghouse, bounding enthusiastically over to the dog toy box grabbing Katrinas favorite toy then bouncing (like tigger from Winnie The Pooh) across the yard to Katrina dropping the toy in front of her, commencing to bark asking her to play. My heart spontaneously giggling & following Smithys joyful enthusiasm back into the precious & truly beautiful moments of today. Mother Natures magical paint brush is beginning to dance across the eastern horizon with magnificent pastel shades of pinks, blues & oranges, this precious new day beginning to unfold before me, a beautiful path awaits me, where it will lead me is unknown, embracing the simple beauty, special moments & precious little gifts along the way with joy, enthusiasm, faith, Love, limitless gratitude & the inspiration of those very special people past & present filling my heart as my guide, I know another truly beautiful & amazing day in my journey awaits me...
