The seeker of Islāmic Knowledge must aspire to develop a noble character based on a calm temperament, excellent morals and noteworthy conduct. In Soorah al-Qalam, Verse 4, Allāh says regarding his messenger Muhammad: “And verily (O Muhammad), you are on an exalted standard of character” The Sunnah epitomises the best possible example of social conduct. Anas narrates that he served Rasoolullah for ten years, and he never said to him “Uff” (a minor harsh word denoting impatience) and never blamed him by saying “why did you do so?” and “why didn’t you do so?” (Bukhaari)
