The segment began with one of the hosts completely blaming Ferguson, and all of the country’s race problems, on President Obama. Naturally. But for once, the show’s token “liberal,” Bob Beckel actually tried to talk some sense into the discussion. He said, “The race debate has been going on for a long time. It didn’t begin with Ferguson and it’s not going to end with Ferguson… If you look at the Pew Research Studies on college black men, their trust of the police department is somewhere in the teens. Now there has to be a reason for that. These are educated people who looked, I suppose, at the Grand Jury findings. They don’t trust the police. They don’t trust white people, and they have a good reason not to.” Immediately Kimberly Guilfoyle became irate and called Beckel a racist. Then the all white panel went on to insist that the only race problem in this country is “reverse racism.” One of the hosts even went so far as to declare that the most racist things he’s ever heard came out of the mouths of black men. Yes, really. Now I’m not sure if these Fox tools actually believe the crap they spew, or if their goal is merely to rile up their gullible audience. But for me, watching these people white-splain how black Americans really feel is sort of like when you pass a train wreck and just can’t help but look at it in horror.
