The shadow Minister for Local Government, Richard Wayne, has confirmed to Richard Duffy, that Labor is committed to the process, but if enough ground swell support is given by rate payers, wanting the truth about the cost and effects of the de-amalgamation of Sunbury out of Hume, then the Labor Government, if elected this weekend, would have a second plebiscite. It is anticipated that this vote would be compulsory on all rate payers in the current Hume electorate, and that this vote would be binding.
