The shelter wanted to kill her because she was so scared there. I - TopicsExpress

The shelter wanted to kill her because she was so scared there. I reached out to my awesome rescue friends because I couldnt let her die. She was saved at the last minute by a rescue that doesnt just help the one you want to save, but all of her kennel mates and many other dogs on the kill list as well. The vet, where I picked her up after a difficult spay, told me she was NASTY with them and labeled her as CAUTION when I arrived to get her home. The same technician carried her out in disbelief of how calm she was. She has been very timid, but she is loving her new freedom. She is already attached to me, trusts me, and she is fine with dogs, kids, and cats. She is already thirsty for attention, and she loves our family dog walks. Her tail is up. Her smile is on, and I am so grateful for her amazing progress in just a few hours. I cant wait to see how her progress goes. This is my favorite thing about being a part of an amazing community of animal lovers. Fostering is hugely rewarding. Saving a life is incredible.
