Laid across the dining table of their trailer, they have everything from Colt 45s to bazookas. It was obvious what reaction Kids And Guns (C4) was supposed to provoke. A trigger-happy child young enough to be in the Brownies, living in a caravan with enough firepower to take over a South American republic? We should have been horrified. The trouble was, Gia was as well adjusted a girl as any family could want. If her mother was around, we didn’t see her, but Gia seemed happy growing up with her father. He treated his daughter’s passion for shooting as her golden ticket out of the trailer park and coached her hard for competitions. He wasn’t a good loser, but there again, without pushy parents like Spyder this week’s Commonwealth Games wouldn’t be taking place.
