The show at BBC Radio Scotland went really well today. Had a serious look back at all my life and testimony, but it was very comfortable and easy going. The presenter actually said it was the easiest show shed ever done. They had asked me to pick 2 of my favourite songs but I had to change my choices. Apparently the show we recorded was to be aired directly after the Easter Day Christian show complete with hymns and worship music; They asked if I could pick something a little more, easy listening that would appeal to secular listeners too. While I tried to argue that my song choices would, appeal to anyone we did agree with Brian Houstons The Valley and Bobby McFerrins Dont Worry Be Happy. I also got to perform My Father live in the studio. My segment should last about 30 - 40 minutes but I think it will be more like an hour. The staff were so cool when we finished. The sound engineer said it was a privilege to be a part of the show which was very humbling. The producer also said I should get in touch with any tour dates, album releases or news. Considering it was the BBC I dont think it could have gone any better, and I came away feeling incredibly blessed. Why? I got to mention the following: - My Testimony - Bethany Christian Trust - What Jesus Christ means to me - That everyone has the right to hear the Gospel - How much I love my family - To share Brian Houstons incredible song The Valley - To dedicate my performance to my Mum and Dad Theres a very simple explanation to why I love life. All I do is tell the truth in word and song. Im inspired by the truth. Hard or easy truths; it doesnt matter. I am always left with hope in my heart because Jesus Christ was, is, and is to come. It is an incredible privilege to be alive, to love, and to know I am loved; let my every breath bring glory to God. Id also like to share with you one of my song choices that didnt make the show in the end. Its truly an anointed work of beauty by the very talented and musical worship leader Nathan Jess I am redeemed. On the day you were beaten, it never crossed Your mind that I was not worth dying for. Perfect!
