The sinful natures of mankind, in each and every one of us, is - TopicsExpress

The sinful natures of mankind, in each and every one of us, is parasitic, demanding, corrupt, polluted, deceptive, and quite delusional. This malevolent nature of ours insists on believing it is basically good, when in fact, and every moment of history demonstrates it, it is base. Existing to gratify the raging desires of our sinful natures, each of us actually believes we are the center of our own little self-serving worlds and that we are the little gods we worship in these selfish little imaginary worlds. I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20) And again Paul makes it clear, And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. (Galatians 5:24) And one more, But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. (Galatians 6:14) Salvation is about becoming an entirely new creation in Christ. One cannot achieve this without the enabling of the new birth given by the Holy Spirit. Jesus said we MUST be born again. The destination of our new lives in union with Christ is conformity to the image of Christ and nothing less is acceptable to God. We cannot reach this impossible goal, this destiny, on our own, we must be baptized in the Holy Spirit. Baptism with the Holy Spirit puts Christ in us and us in Christ. The genuine Christian life is a life lived by the Holy Spirit. Living by the Spirit disengages the power of the sinful nature over us. - Russ Bush youtu.be/Tkx8WAycYAc?list=RDbyIpfEVxhs4
