The singing/dance/skit group that I am part of had a performance this afternoon in NH at nursing home, it was 45 minute and fun to do. They enjoyed singing along, clapping and the laughter filled the room. After we were done we went out to the residents there and talked with them. One of the man put his hand out and I shook his hand and he held it gently for a few minutes. He wore a beautiful white cross necklace. He told me how much he enjoyed the show and asked my name, I told him and then he told me his....he is a Priest!! He continued to tell me that what we do is a gift from God to bring joy to those around him and all the places we go during the year. I then told him I had to go and he blessed me and said God Bless You. I could feel tears well up in my eyes, but, I held strong. Before I left the house, I looked to heaven and said Mom, this performance today is for you.....my mom passed away 4 years ago March 30th. We have been performing for 2 years and in all the places we have been, I have NEVER met a priest....today I did. I know in my heart and soul that mom was with me. She is always with me, but, today especially I felt her spirit with me. ♥
