The situation in my country Nigeria today, has become embarrassingly unfortunate as a result of the inhuman atrocities being commited by terrorists on the one hand, and the inability of the government to carry out its primary responsibility of securing lives of the citizens on the other. Hardly a day passes without Nigerians (Muslims and Christians, civilians and force men, men and women) losing lives due to no fault of theirs. The situation has degenerated to the extent that a people who once thrived together, now feel more comfortable apart. Nigeria, a country once full of potentials and the envy of other nations, has now increasingly and progressively fallen into the abyss of corruption, injustice and disunity. There is no end in sight until we resolve to unite and fight our common enemies which are terrorism, corruption, injustice and oppression. As long as we keep fanning the embers of hatred amongst ourselves and mutual suspicion, we shall never make any head way. The losers in the end are us.
