The situation of political parties Nowadays international relations have been changed cause of political situation in the world – crisis in the Ukraine and the Middle East. The confrontation began between the great powers; the coalitions have been created in order to fight with terrorism. It’s obvious that Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) is a threat to the international community. What is the place of kurdish factor in such world situation? How should Kurds behave if the international community takes pride in the kurdish factor in the fight against militants ISIL? Which benefits will be provided for Kurds? All these important questions need to be answered. Whether the leaders of our political parties to respond adequately? Of course, no. The only answer is the creation of kurdish united front of all directions based on national unity and consent. One party can’t create such united front in the struggle for self-determination. Why Kurds haven’t a national consent? In order to clear up a question it’s necessary to analyse the interparty relations. Let’s look into the history which tells us that until a 19 century there were several kurdish principalities on the kurdish territory which often had the civil strife. Also people repeatedly rebelled against their oppressors but nation suffered a defeat due to the disunity actions. Those principalities exist nowadays as parties. Each party has their own flag, budget, newspapers, magazines, radio and television. Big parties have armed forces. Here is a question : what is the difference between parties and Kurdish principalities? In the past there wasn’t an unity. And now is the same situation. Based on this I can say that the history of Kurds repeats. The difference is only that political parties have been climbed up on one turn of the spiral by their standards and characteristics. The situation of parties is: some of them don’t want to reform and become more democratic considering the peculiarities of the modern world. If you try to criticize any leader of the party, you will lose your head or you will be identified as a betrayer because there is no pluralism of opinions and no tolerance. Some of parties have leaders of advanced age. They are satisfied with the current situation. If democratic reforms start, leaders of the party will lose their positions and old-fashioned methods will not be used anymore. Each political party must correct the ideology, change the strategy of all directions taking into account the integrations with other parties and public organizations. Each party needs in fundamental reorganization based on democratic principles. Psychology of members of the party should be changed in the spirit of the modern world based on democracy. Without such reforms none of the parties will achieve tangible results for the benefit of Kurds. At this stage of national development all parties are to each other in a state of confrontation and struggle for power, for hegemony in the national movement. None of them want to lose the power in the kurdish community. Therefore many of political leaders avoid the convocation of kurdish public congress for election an united leading and collective committee at the head of the political council. In this case they lose total control of party’s budget. Their legitimate and illegitimate actions will be under political council’s control. That’s what some leaders of parties are scared. Eventually it’s possible to set rotation in the political council. It’s mean that every six months or every year one of the members of political council become its leader. Political council is a collective institute, a leading force of the kurdish community, a coordinating center of national movement. Leaders of all parties see themselves as national leaders. They always say about service to the Kurds. If they say it sincerely, why they don’t want to sacrifice their vanity, personal and party interests for the sake of national unity and independence of Kurdistan? That is the portrait of our party leaders. Dear Patriots, judge for yourself: what awaits us in the future with such conservative leaders? That such is our reality, our bitter truth. I would not want our 38 million people to lose hope and faith in the bright future of Kurdistan. We need to know the causes of our tragic situation and ways to overcome them. At this period the positions of some political parties hinder the unification of the people under the common flag of Kurdistan. Most of the parties are in a stagnant state. Party organizations practically do not renew the staff of its management team and members of the politburo, and the old members can not keep up with the times. Party turned their supporters into dogmatic and party fanatics. It will take more than one year to turn party fanatics into the national fanatics and to change their psychology. Thus, political parties broke the kurdish people by 50 groups consisting of party fanatics, opposing each other. An unhealthy atmosphere was created in kurdish community. Political parties are constantly competing with each other, and some of their leaders even doesn’t greet each other. Each party is trying to pass itself off as the leading and guiding force in kurdish community. In this situation the creation of a kurdish state is not possible. Will the party leaders of 50 party organizations to come together and have a dialogue or discussion meeting? Of course not! Even Obama and Putin will not be able to gather them together at the same table. When they all come together, then we will talk about an independent Kurdistan. On this basis, we can conclude that we will not see an independent Kurdistan in the next 15 years. This is our reality. Without national unity, without cross-party agreement it’s impossible to create a Kurdish statehood. Of course, political parties have done a lot for the Kurds. Each of them has made a definite contribution to the development of the national liberation movement. Nobody has the right to belittle their positive role in the development of the national movement until yesterday. They raised the level of resolving kurdish issue up. But, unfortunately, they will not be able to raise up more due to a number of reasons. The main reason is a stagnation in the political parties, the absence of significant changes in their activities, the lack of collegiality in their actions, the lack of democratic reforms. Today people ready to self-determination, but political parties are not ready, they lost potential due to uncoordinated actions. At this stage these differences can be eliminated only by convening kurdish public congress which will give a new impulse to the dynamic development of the national movement. We haven’t other way. If we had a political council, the situation in Syrian Kurdistan would be different today and do not recur such tragic events in Shangal. Our condolences, our tears and appeal to the U.N.O will not help. Our salvation, our future is in the hands of the political council. I emphasize once again that without the creation of the political council and executive committee elected at the kurdish public congress, the path to an independent Kurdistan is closed. National - liberation movement needs to an united coordinating institute, which regulates the activity and cooperation of all parties and public organizations. I hope that educated democrats-pragmatics will replace the old party leaders within 15 years. Then the situation will be changed in a positive direction as in the political parties as in the national movement. At this stage, do not indulge in illusions. Glory defenders of Kurdistan! The Kurdish patriot from Kazakhstan - Ibrahim Aliyev
