The sixth annual Moose Chase experienced its largest turn out yet, with 265 kids showing up to dash alongside the fuzzy-antlered ungulate. The Moose Chase raised $2,000 for LINKS for Learning and collected about 200 pounds of food donations for the Livingston Food Pantry. The origins of the chase trace back to when coordinators Kristin Wadle and Alyssa Davis started a running club for preschool-aged children as a way to instill healthy and fit habits from the start of a childs education. They added the moose soon after for fun. The Moose has been with us from the beginning, said Wadle. I found him on eBay.
