The snow has officially made its way down the mountains and winter is certainly upon us. Bring out the mittens, hand-warmers, boots, and hats because it is time to bundle up on your way out of the house - even if just taking a quick trip to the store. You should always have everyone in the car prepared for getting stuck... Lets face the reality - we have all been in the ditch at some point or another whether you were the driver or just a passenger. You probably were hauled out by a good Samaritan with good tires in no time at all, but that wont necessarily be the case every time. Not only should you have a nice set of warm winter wear for everyone in case you have to walk somewhere, but jackets and boots should be nearby if not worn just in case you cant get to your trunk. Snacks are good to have around too. Without the food to burn, your body wont be able to generate heat forever, so keep a stash of high energy food (granola bars, snickers, etc.) somewhere just in case. Besides, food always makes a situation better right?
