The so-called elders, many who have give up on living off the lands, and not passing on what skills they had grown into and love, to their children, say this, "No one can make a living on the land anymore, so might as well make a deal with the uranium diggers and get some money off them. . . .!" No0w, Cameco hires a former and we had hoped, retired, chief, to pay off 35 old fools to act like "elders" and give sanction to the uranium diggers as legit " business partners with our people. This is a guy suffering the residential school syndrome real bad. When he was chief, we tabulated his income, and for those two terms, a whopping near $1M!!! That is nothing, now, we know that the uranium diggers gave each of the elected people over $50K just for signing the Collaborative Agreement!!!
