The soap opera: A New House for Doug, Mikey, and Lucy. If you remember, in the beginning the Gerry family was living in a small beach house with a big backyard. The owner said, you can do whatever you want to the house and yard. You can live here forever. But in episode 2, the wife of the owner wants the house for her children who are returning from living in Europe. The Gerry family is given 6 months to leave. Episode 3 follows the difficult task of finding a house in Cidade 2000 with secured parking and a yard with a cost lower than 1000. Episode 4 is about expanding the search for a house to other neighboorhoods, week after week of searching classified section of the newspaper, walking in neighboorhoods, endless call to real estate agents. Episode 5 The search has good results 3 houses with yards. The documents, including the promise to give the real estate agency the first born child, are completed. Sadly this episode ends with the rejection of all applications. Episode 6: The neighboor tells the Gerry family that the house accross the street has just come up for rent. Quickly, the papers are passed to the neighboor and moving plans are put into action. There is an air of excitement. Wait! The neighboor says, no dogs. Episode 7: The Gerry family receives a kind offer from a friend to rent an apartment. Dogs are accepted. The first of the month arrives and it is time to move. Rent is paid, contract is signed, electricity changed to the Gerry name. A good end to a long soap opera. But wait! The keys are not available maybe next weekend, maybe the weekend after, maybe in three weeks. Another sad ending. Episode 8 is comming soon.
