The son of a dear friend of mine committed suicide this week. I am crying as I write this. Friends and family: hug the ones you love, and tell them you love them. Tell your friends how valuable they are to you. Depression is an awful awful medical condition. Sometimes the only thing between life and death is that singular moment for the person with that mental illness,when they can look forward to tomorrow with a hint of possibility, instead of behind where the pain dwells. If you do not have depression, you do not understand the insipid lure of that darkness. THAT is why it is so important to take the moment, obey Gods nudge, to give hope.
