The song I just posted I wrote on September 11, 2001. I was recording my 4th record “Understated” at Barn Burner Studio in the middle of America when I got the news. You see, my sister Amanda will always be a New Yorker. She lived in The Big Apple on the Upper Eastside of Manhattan for 13 years. She worked at the World Trade Center from 91 to 93 then got a job with the NY Marathon as an event coordinator. She was downtown that day, and remembers it all to well. She had friends and coworkers who both lived and died on that day. Ladder company 11 was her fire station on the Upper Eastside. This song was written for those NY heroes. Take a listen.
