The sovereignty of God simply means God is actively governing everything. And everything means everything. Jesus said in Matt. 10:29 “Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from the Father’s will. What did Jesus say....He said nothing happens apart from the Father’s “will.” If you apply that understanding to the doctrines of grace then God sovereignty in salvation means that believers are saved for the sole reason “according God’s sovereign will.
