The spinal fluid was clear in color but unfortunately it was not clear from Leukemia. Brittany does have Leukemia in her spinal fluid. They would like to see 5% or less Leukemia Cells in the fluid and Brittany had 70%. The Dr said that 70 isnt as bad as it sounds. She is not raging with Leukemia Cells. I will be meeting with the radiation doctors in the morning. All I know is she will get radiation from the neck up and she will have to go to the Barret Cancer Center across from UC. The Leukemia is aggravating the nerves in her neck, head, back, shoulders and ears and causing her pain. Both sides of her face are still partially paralyzed causing her problems with eating and drinking. The Speech therapist came by to evaluate her while she ate and drank and she was pleased that even though there were some problems she wasnt in any danger of choking. I did get good news today......her Bone Marrow still looks good!!! Those are preliminary results and final results should be in tomorrow. We are still hoping to go home tomorrow and do the radiation outpatient. The radiation, from what I was told, will be everyday for 2-3 weeks. I will update about the radiation as soon as I talk to the radiation doctors. Please keep Brittany in your prayers as she faces yet another obstacle to overcome!!! I know she is tough and she can beat this again but she needs prayers and our family needs prayers to help us get through this. Thank you everyone for all you have done for Brittany and our family!!!
