The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity but a wounded spirit who can bare(proverbs 18:14). If any of you know about wounds we know that if a wound isnt treated properly within the right time frame it becomes infected and has problems healing correctly. That infection if not treated will spread throughout the entire body causing serious sickness, sometimes even death. The same is true when we suffer a wound to our spirit. It may start out as a small laceration or hole but if we dont allow God to heal us it becomes a sink hole within us sucking the very life from us. Whatever wounds that we have that are not healed are infecting our spirit and affecting our lives.You may be trying to understand why wont things go right for me? Whats wrong with my life? Somewhere in you there is a wound that you never got treated and didnt allow it to heal. Could be someone broke your heart, could be abuse of some kind, could be someone hurt your feelings in some way; whatever it is dont continue to allow that wound to kill your future or you. God came to heal the broken hearted and to bind up our wounds. Today ask God to heal all your old wounds from every hurt that you have suffered. Without it your soul can never be made whole and you will never be the victorious person God created us to be. it is better to trust in The Lord than to put confidence in man today I shall not die, but live and declare the works of The Lord(psalms 118:8,17).
