The staggering security deterioration from the targeting of innocent Iraqis to the escape of prisoners reflects the grave inability of the security forces and the government regardless of who the perpetrators are. Ten year after the war and with deep regret, the Global Peace Index 2013 rates Iraq as the 4th most violent country. The Iraqi people are entitled to basic services including security and a life of honour and integrity.
