The stanch welcomed you as you walked thought the door as one would meet an unwelcomed guest. It was not a soft easy stanch but a hard hitting one, much like getting hit by a bus. As you walked in to the living room, you notice that it’s not carpet you’re walking on but a thick layer of dog hair mixed with the byproducts of their daily life indoors. As your eyes start to water from the smell of fresh urine you tread carefully, much like one would walk in a mind field, fearing that anything that attached itself to your shoes would remain there for life. As you reach to turn the TV you start to wish you had gloves, not a good pair, but old worn out pair, something you wouldn’t mind throwing away. A few quick tests and an exam of the indoor wiring reveal that the dogs have been using the wiring as a chew toy, you also find the fresher of their deposits. Working as quickly as possible you finish up and leave with the feeling that you need a shower ….
