The start of the 106th Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac is here! The Cruising Division sets off at 1500 CDT today. Hi, this is Dan Gabriel. Winn Soldani is off the grid until tomorrow (Saturday) night when he will be back on the mic. Until then I will attempt to fill his large shoes. I look forward to engaging with this community during the race. As in years past, the goal here is to provide up to date race and weather information along with commentary. The topics will range from the basics in following the race to more advanced sailing strategy. We look to you and your comments to help guide the information we provide. Don’t hesitate to ask a question – we will do our best to gather the information to provide an answer. I will post the pre-race forecast when it becomes available later this morning.
