The state Primary is Tuesday, dont forget to mail or drop off you ballot. OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) - Washington state voters this week will decide who advances to the general election in 10 congressional races and dozens of legislative races. While voters started getting their state primary ballots in the mail weeks ago, Tuesday is the last day to get their ballots in or postmarked for mail delivery. The results will trickle out during the week for the more competitive races. There are no statewide offices on the ballot, but the match getting the most attention is the 4th Congressional District race to replace U.S. Rep. Doc Hastings, who is retiring after two decades in the seat. A dozen candidates crowd that race, though four Republicans appear to be the front-runners. Under Washington states primary system, the top two vote-getters in each race advance to the general election, regardless of party.
