The state of our nation Nigeria is a disaster. President Goodluck - TopicsExpress

The state of our nation Nigeria is a disaster. President Goodluck Jonathan should be impeached or he should resign. Reputation of our nation at this moment is very bad because of horrible images of innocent women, children, men and boys have been slaughtered like sheeps, goats and chickens by inhuman Boko Haram. Also, the crisis of leadership of our nation as the world sees it. What else do honourable elected members need to start the impeachment process? “...To serve our fatherland, with love and strength and faith...” This has to be done for the interest of our people and our nation. Fellow Nigerians, our eyes are placed in front because it is more important to look ahead than to look back, and if Nigerian accepts a limiting belief, then it will become a truth for all of us including our children and children’s children. We believe that the future of our nation Nigeria belongs to those of us who believe in the beauty of our dream Nigeria, which is the best nation to live in the world; peaceful, united, prosperous and corruption free. Be courageous enough to ask for impeachment of President Goodluck Jonathan, as he has failed Nigerians. The intentional community is in disbelief about his actions and inaction. This has nothing to do with his person. He has failed us as an elected president of the greatest nation in Africa. The envy of other nations, the beautiful land of our ancestor of the Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo and others great tribes. If the Nigerian democracy is a government of the people, by the people and to the people, then, we ask you to do the right thing. This nation Nigeria as it stands now urgently needs you. We must help our brothers and sisters, fathers, mothers, wives and husbands in the northern part of our nation who are hopeless and armless against the Boko Haram terrorist group. We must help our entire people against the massive looting of our nation’s treasures by corrupt elites. We are Nigerians who love our nation and for the dignity of man and women in our beloved country, there must be a change. “...To build a nation where peace, and justice shall reign.” President Goodluck Jonathan has failed us. 1. His broken election promises (youtube/watch?v=TYj9coCZpc8). 2. It is ridiculous that President Goodluck Jonathan or the top people in his administration repeatedly make statements in public like some people in my administration are Boko Haram or we know where the girls are, yet he hasnt prosecuted these accused of supporting or being terrorists in his administration nor has he brought back our Chibok school girls. What did he know and when did he know it? Instead the Boko Haram is kidnapping more of our girls, young boys and women. Still our military and security forces, which are the most powerful in Africa, are reluctant or demotivated to act in order to protect our people against this ruthless killers of their own brothers and sisters. Who are those Boko Haram supporters in President Jonathan’s administration and why is Jonathan afraid to expose, arrest and prosecute them? 3. At the moment in Nigeria many people in the south, west, east and north are dying because of poverty, lack of good healthcare, bad roads, lack of education, abuse, brutality and insecurity etc. 4. Over 60 percent youth unemployment. 5. When international momentum and real help came to Nigerian side you missed the window of opportunity. Is it because you don’t understand or because you are misled by your political advisors? 6. Thousands of our brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, husbands and wives have been slaughtered in cold blood by the inhuman and devilish Boko Haram and its supporters. These victims are Nigerians; they are our people regardless of the language they speak, religious faith or political affiliations. No one’s life should be more important than other’s, regardless of your position. Every citizen should have the same right of liberty, freedom and security as those who have leadership positions. Even after Chibok adduction from Borno state, there has not been adequate security to protect our people from the devilish Boko Haram group but politicians protect themselves with troops of security men and women paid from our nation’s treasures, your wealth. Some of them are good at inciting hate against other tribes to cover their looting. 7. President Goodluck Jonathan said to the world and to Nigerian viewers in China about our security challenges in 2013 that “...In another three months the security will be significantly better than it was, that is what I’m telling you...” (Talk Asia 18 July, interview in China). Today Nigerians are in fear, pain and agony. 8. President Jonathan honoured ex-president Sani Abacha who is known today to be a thief, a criminal, a murderer, a torturer etc and he goes even further to pardoning ex-Gov Alamieyeseigha, who is a globally disgraced thief. This is among the proof of Goodluck Jonathan’s presidential failure. It’s estimated by Transparency International that Abacha has looted over $4 bn of our nation’s wealth. 9. Corruption is now accepted under President Goodluck Jonathan, “stealing is not corruption”. 10. N446bn theft case, Jonathan administration drops charges against Mohammed Abacha. 11. Under President Jonathan administration the corrupt elites who are looting billions from the south, west, north and east respectively continue their business as usual under this administration. 12. All the past governors and leaders from the eastern, southern, western and northern Nigeria that have been accused of or are in court for looting and stealing huge amounts of our nations treasures are free, and nothing concrete is been done about their case. They are even involved in Nigerian politics with their stolen wealth. EFCC has been incapacitated for lack of adequate funding to do their duty and it has become political tool. 13. Why is Jonathan protecting corrupt people in his administration like the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, probe of the allegation of billions was spent to hire aircraft. The cost of the charter of two private jets, one of which deals allegedly gulped N10billion spent on its charter and maintenance. On her part, Mrs Allison-Madueke, is being sought for probe because she was said to have used the chartered jets for her own convenience rather than for official purpose for which they were made available. The military was intimidating the press and prevented them to carry on their legitimate duties. The peaceful assemble by the Bring our Chibok Girls Home - group was disrupted by the Nigerian police. The past leaders who looted billions of money from our nation’s treasures are being ignored. All the cases in the court of law are almost forgotten. 14. Our military forces are not sufficiently equipping/paying/feeding/training its soldiers, making it understandable why they sometimes are reluctant to face the Boko Haram and the unbelievably brutality that the world has paid attention to recently. The military budget of N130.7 billion cannot be accounted for. 15. What of the 20 billion dollar allegation made by Emir of Kano Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi? Was everything about the allegation a lie? 16. Is there irregularities, mismanagement etc in all the ministries pertaining to their allocated budgets? 17. The other big issue is President Goodluck Jonathan’s government’s tendency to cover up the death of so many of our northern and other civilians in the hands of the military and police. These people are our brothers and sisters. The average northerner in the Boko Haram targeted area is equally afraid of the military and police as they are afraid of Boko Haram. So are Nigerians from other regions. 18. Dame Patient Jonathan said it’s God who has made his husband, President Jonathan the head of our nation. We, the united Nigerians of all our great tribes and the international community think Jonathan should be impeached, if Nigeria is indeed a democratic government or he can quietly bow out. For the interest of our people and our nation, the right thing must be done. The future of Nigeria will not be like the past. Let us design the future today. I’m a brother to all tribal groups of our beautiful nation. We are one people. Call me a dreamer but I’m not the only one. There is nothing wrong with Nigeria that cannot be cured with what is right with Nigeria. “ ...the labour of our heroes past, shall never be in vain, to serve with heart and might, one nation bound in freedom, peace and unity.”
