The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, because he trusts in You. (Isaiah 26:3 NASB) It was Sunday, March 21, 1981, I was in Club Filipino, Cebu City. I was checking out Immanuel Bible College before I finally decide to enroll that coming June. The storm that accompanied my trip just passed and I had the opportunity to go with the IBC Drama Choir as they perform in a Sunday Service. I was sitting right in the middle right section amidst around 300 people. After the choir sang, the guest speaker, Rev. Ted Engstrom, started out his message and right in the middle of it, he stopped and said the Holy Spirit had a word for someone in the congregation. He pointed out to me and even described my large-rimmed glasses, my bushy hair (you better believe it!), my blue shirt with a white collar. He said, I dont know you, young man but the Holy Spirit wanted me to give you this verse for whatever purpose He may have for it. He proceeded with Isa. 26:3... It was just what I needed to stabilize my decision about spending the next 4 years of my life studying how to be a minister. There I met my wife, also, who has been standing beside me in fulfilling this call that God placed in our lives. God has a Word for you today! He wants to assure you, encourage you, cause you to see things from His perspective, show you what is in store as you obey Him. Go to church today, listen to Him... You never can tell the feast He has prepared for you today in His word!
