The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. (Ps. 37:23) Before anyone thinks Im tooting my own horn, I will assert that any good in me is the Lords doing. I do want to toot Gods horn in regards to Him ordering our steps. I stopped at a Pizza Hut for dinner today. Im not a big man and against logic I sat down and ordered a medium pan pizza. After the waitress walked away, I reasoned that what I didnt eat Id just take with me. It should be noted that Gods timing is perfect. I usually am a eat and dash kind of person, but today I lingered. Finally, I get up to leave taking my box of pizza with me. No sooner did I round the corner of the building that I saw a man in filthy clothes lifting the lids on the dumpster. He was probably illegally in the US (I was in Arizona) and about 60 years old. Ordering a medium pizza made perfect sense in that moment. I handed him my leftover pizza and a few bucks. I did feel bad about trying so hard to finish that pizza and Im sure more bad side effects are forthcoming. Lol Remember, most of the time when God is trying to use us, it wont make any sense until afterward. God is good all the time! It should also be noted that I had planned on stopping further down the road for my favorite meal: steak and eggs. I had never stopped at this place before in the almost 3 years Ive been driving this route.
